Michael Bradbury - Director of Education, The CEA

I am a skilled and enthusiastic educational leader committed to driving game design and Esports in the MENA region. I'm proud to have been recognised by Epic Games as the first Unreal Authorised Instructor in the UAE. I have over ten years of experience using video games and related software in education. I have led various professional development sessions and delivered keynote speeches on using these tools for the classroom, resulting in sustainable and positive changes in learning. I am also proud to have introduced Esports into the UAE curriculum.

 

Niall Statham - Assistant Head Teacher, Hartland International School

Niall Statham has been a member of the senior leadership team at Hartland International School Dubai for 5 years, as well as holding 10 years of experience as a middle leader. His background is in Physical Education, where he also served as a member of the DASSA executive committee for 10 years. Niall leads High Performance Learning at Hartland as well as overseeing innovation and technology. Having previously captained the UAE rugby 7s and XVs sides, he is now a member of the 100 World Legends charity, travelling to different countries to support local initiatives through sport.

Faisal Kazim - Director, Future Foresight, Dubai Future Foundation

Faisal Kazim is Director of Future Foresight at Dubai Future Foundation, where he dedicates his work toward realizing Dubai's goal of becoming a leading city of the future and leads research on industries of the future and their impact on Dubai's economy, society, and environment. Faisal is also Head of the UAE Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which is part of the World Economic Forum’s global network of 4IR centres. His notable initiatives include Dubai Financial Market’s Voluntary Carbon Credit Market, Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, and the Dubai Future Readiness Index.

Mark Ryan - PYP Coordinator, GEMS World Academy Abu Dhabi

Mark Ryan is an experienced educator and IB PYP coordinator at GEMS, with over 15 years of expertise in international education. A passionate advocate for inquiry-based learning, he is known for his work developing innovative fine arts and primary STEAM programs in Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong. Mark is also a driving force behind the growth of esports in the UAE, collaborating with industry leaders to create opportunities for students to engage in competitive gaming. His diverse interests include coaching swimming, public speaking, and fostering student voice, all while sharing his educational journey with a global audience.
