GESS expands its Indonesia portfolio to cover the entire Asia region
The show will return as a face to face event at the Jakarta Convention Center, Indonesia from 14 to 16 September 2022, and will move to a different country within the ASEAN region each year to serve education professionals closer to home.
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) predicts that the economic growth in Asia will be 5.4% in 2022 reflecting increased public spending. Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand are expected to be among the world’s top 25 economies by 2050. To take advantage of the unprecedented growth in the region, GESS will move to Thailand in 2023 and The Philippines 2024. Expanding the scale and profile of the previous GESS Indonesia event and tap into the wider ASEAN education community.
“We believe that the time is now to bring GESS to the next level, benefiting more communities, educational suppliers and the entire education community. GESS Asia will retain the essential characteristics of any GESS show with our world class, free, CPD accredited conference content and innovative products on the exhibition floor, but will also take into account each countries specific needs educational needs.” said Matt Thompson, Project Director at Tarsus. “By renaming the event GESS Asia, the show will be able to address the needs or the region and empower the sector with knowledge, content, solutions and technology.”
With more than 15 years’ experience of the global education market, GESS is renowned as the meeting place for the entire education industry, with educators from early years, K-12 and higher ed institutions looking to network, discover the latest educational solutions and do business. The show was first brought to Asia in 2015, selecting Indonesia as its home and will now expand its outreach.
