GESS Proudly Supports and Sponsors UAE Based Team in Global STEM Challenge

Initially competing under the name Team Propero before partnering with students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bandar Putra School in Malaysia to form Team Propulsar, the team from Hartland International School in Dubai edged 24 others in the National Championship to represent the fantastic education community in the UAE at this renowned global STEM challenge.

The World Finals will include more than 50 teams from all corners of the globe and will be streamed live on YouTube. The link will be shared through our social media channels as soon as it becomes available.

‘Reaching the World Finals of F1 in Schools is such an incredible achievement especially when considering the age of the students that make up Propulsar, they therefore needed to find a fitting sponsor that believed in them and could help them to reach their goals. GESS recognised the student's achievements and bought into their vision and without them the team could not have thrived as much as they have. The learning experience that has come from this partnership has enabled the students to learn skills that cannot be replicated in the classroom, this will most definitely have a lifelong positive impact on these students are their future opportunities’ - James Peacock, Head of Design/Technology, Hartland International School Dubai and Team's Main Advisor

‘Achieving a sponsor like this was a major milestone throughout our journey as a Formula 1 In Schools Team. To be able to bring in and cooperate with an exceptional sponsor like GESS was an honour and provided significant support to the quality and scale of our project. We have been together as a team for 2 years now, and we find ourselves entering the World Finals of F1 In Schools in a matter of weeks. It is the climax of our journey as one, and we can’t wait to compete against other teams across the world soon!’ - Yasmeen Abdurahimova, Graphic Designer, Team Propulsar
